One of the best parts of living at The Preserve is just how easy it is to leave the pavement behind.
A direct trail connection from The Preserve to Phipps Road and the CAMBA trail network is now marked, creating a fantastic route for gravel bikes, mountain bikes and anyone looking to explore the miles of forest roads and trails surrounding the community.
And this isn’t a manicured neighborhood bike path.
The connection follows an old logging road and classic Northwoods two-track through the woods before reaching Phipps Road and continuing toward the CAMBA system. It’s exactly the kind of riding that makes the Hayward area special.
From The Preserve, riders can roll out of the neighborhood, follow the Preserve Trail, hit the Phipps Road connector and continue toward Gravel Pit Road and the greater CAMBA network.
No loading bikes onto the car. No driving to a trailhead.
Just get on your bike and ride.
The new trail markers make the connection easy to follow, with signs pointing riders between The Preserve, Phipps Road and CAMBA.
For mountain bikers, gravel riders, hikers and outdoor families, it’s another example of what we mean when we say:
Live Where You Play.
The Preserve offers wooded homesites, private community trails and direct connections to some of the best riding, skiing and outdoor recreation in the Hayward area.
Explore The Preserve. Ride from home.
